Wishing for Peace, Kindness and Love

Geum, ‘ Mrs. J. Bradshaw’

Dear WardWorksArt Family and Friends,

This holiday season, take time to breathe, snuggle down, do nothing, stop and daydream, and breathe again.

I look forward to a low level day on the 25th: gift exchange, good coffee, easy breakfast, snacks, a book I wanted to read for 6 months, and family relaxing and enjoying the slow.

2022 was a phenomenal year: jewelry projects with The John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts , AIN’T TOO PROUD and 60th Anniversary Program for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

The fairs were spectacular, great locations and wonderful crafts vendors and I never left Sonoma County, that was special.

A knee replacement that was super successful. So happy to be pain free.

Several wonderful commissions for kinetic sculptures, now in homes in the Bay Area and elsewhere.

Learning to slow down to make better thoughts, better art, better life considerations. Learning to honor my convictions, my choices and my decisions. Learning to want people to be considerate and if not, learning to let them go. Remembering my mother’s words, “I gave you life and a few good ideas, do your best with what you have, and keep your mind open to new things. I believe in you and I see you believe in you too.” I still miss her after all these years.

Thank you all so much for your support, kindness and friendship. I am a better person for knowing you.

The flu and Covid seems to be on the slow rise, have a care and know that masks still work.

Wishing you Peace of Mind, a heart filled with love, compassion and kindness. Wishing you Strength to find your way, leave behind the old hurts and make room for more love.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, WITH LOVE FROM DENISE

DENISE WARD
