Spring is Just Around the Corner, Unless Winter Keeps Her Chill On!

Sonoma Mountains, February 24, 2023

Rain! Since we’ve been in a drought for I’d forgotten about Winter, rain, cold, frosts, and damp windy cold. This has simply slowed down my gardening hopes for the season. So..art talks, jewelry designs and looking at the beautiful unfolding of Spring is all I can do. Don’t you love the blooming ornamental plum and pears? It’s going to come so fast, this Spring when we will all remember what it was like to be cold on that first hot day in April. We are in a mega-drought, the worst in 800 years. Yikes!!

With the Art in Conversation video edit almost complete, and a few projects coming along, it will be a fun season to prepare for the rest of year. The video will be available online soon.

I’m working on a new Spring Collection inspired by Ms. D. Belli. We were chatting back and forth and she has inspired a new series based on old designs. It is hard to stick to this brief, but it is fun to revisit ideas and the singular designs of the past. Ready by March 21st and rolling into the Summer.

With Spring training, Baseball has started and March Madness, my young lads of the Warriors are really giving their best to a tough season. And yes, I do remember they already have four rings, so my gratitude is already high. Wishing them all the best.

Hoping you are ready for the end of a cold winter here in Northern California and a lovely season. Stay strong, safe and happy. Love to ya, Denise
