The new jewelry design work has been an artist retreat for me. I'm back to creating things I love, this is a welcome art oasis in a world of boxes and downsizing. You don't know how much you have until you touch about 10,000 things: Bob collected everything and I mean everything. Last week I gifted a young friend a box of my father-in-law's World War II uniforms. Who knew kids were into that kind of thing. My plans this summer is to complete this downsizing project. I'll have a visit with my son soon to have him review his childhood collection of toys and schoolwork and more. We save things for good reasons, but I can't think of any that are important anymore. Letting go has been amazing and I now have new friends who love collecting from this great pile of the most interesting stuff.
