Jazz vibraphonist Milt Jackson released an album in 1973, SUNFLOWER. This album was a turning point in my appreciation for the sublime artistry of the times. He also recorded many albums with is main group, The Modern Jazz Quartet. As luck would have it, I once gave a ride the Mr. Jackson on his way to a gig in San Francisco. He was elegance personified.
