One of my flowers in my garden, Alcazar, an antique from the Vilmorin flowers of the early 20th century. I got my irises from Ruth Bancroft herself, many years ago in the Bancroft Gardens. We had a brief encounter as she was harvesting irises in her garden. An unforgettable day, and I have shared many of the children of these plants with friends.
