Kennedy Center 2024: Alvin Ailey Dance Theater and Ain't Too Proud!

This is usually the time of year that I spend planning for the work I want to get to. I am in the midst of ‘abundance’ at the minute, so much so I can hardly keep up with all the activities ahead.

The Kennedy Center has given me two projects this winter and I am happy to say, nearly complete for the February events. both Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the musical, Ain’t Too Proud, have landed. Here is what they have from WardWorksArt.

Pas De Duke earrings for THE Kennedy Center performance by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, February 6-11, 2024 - tickets selling out!!! I get to see the troupe April at Zellerbach Hall UC Berkeley!

What a month! Missed those farmers markets in January, but a girl can’t do everything! Things will get slower in a month or so.

Celebrating The Year of African Americans and the Arts, I have the opportunity to interview, Petaluma artist Dr. Orin Carpenter on Sunday, Feb 4 at Petaluma Arts Center 1-2pm. Please join us for a view of this remarkable artist, his journey and his artwork. Tickets available at petalumaartscenter.org

2 weeks later I will spend February 18th with Rose Hill, artist of Black Americana artwork. We will visit many stories about the work she creates and some history of the folk tales. We will be in conversation at the Museum of Sonoma County, Sunday, Feb. 18, 1-2 pm. For tickets: museumsc.org

First January, now February rocks too!

TWO DATES WITH THESE AMAZING ARTISTS!

Happy Valentines, it’s the Love Month! Denise
